Blended Online and Classroom 75 Hour Course
Description: This 75 hour blended class, consisting of 40 hours classroom and 35 hours online provides an overview of IAQ problems, instruments and testing procedures and how to maintain IAQ in institutional and commercial facilities. Required safety practices, environmental protection and common building stationary engineering applications are emphasized throughout with references to ANSI, EPA and ASHRAE standards.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS: Gary Sycks has 35 years of Operating Engineer Experience and has held boiler advisory board positions. License and certificates include Chief A Boiler’s license,
Power Limited Electricians license, Universal CFC Certification, is a Master Instructor with the International Union Operating Engineers, experienced in teaching Boiler Operation,
Hazmat, Indoor Air Quality, OSHA General Industry, Respiratory Protection, Disaster Site safety instructor .
Scott Marsyla is a graduate of Dunwoody College of Technology and is Certified in Residential
and Commercial HVAC/R and has 8 years of field experience and 5 years as an Instructor. Licenses and certificates include Chief C Boiler’s license, Residential and Commercial HVAC/R Universal CFC Certification and is a Hazwoper Instructor.
Dates/ Times: This class will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the following dates: May 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th and 30th, & June 1st, 2017.
Location: Classes will be held at the Local 70 office, located at: 2722 County Road D East in White Bear Lake, Minnesota 55110 (one block North of Hwy 694).
Cost: Tuition for the class is $585.00 for International Union of Operating Engineers members and $685.00 for non-members. (Cost of educational materials included in price of tuition)
How to Register: To register for the class, please fill out the registration form and mail along with payment to the Local 70 office. You will not be registered for the class until payment and form is received. When registering - In order to provide this training, Local 70 MUST receive payment (Check or Money Order Only) from each student or their employer prior to April 15, 2017. Cancellations will not be accepted after April 15, 2017. Receipt for payment will be mailed. Please call Betty at 651-289-2972 with any questions you may have regarding registration or payment.
