30-Hour Low Pressure Boiler Course
Description: Generally speaking, jobs that require higher levels of education, licenses and skill pay higher wages, which places added emphasis on the individual's proficiency, diversity of skill and grade of licensure. This class provides practical information on the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of low pressure boilers and will include information on Minnesota boilers laws that will help you to upgrade all low pressure classifications/licenses.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Gary Sycks has 35 years of Operating Engineer Experience and has held boiler advisory board positions. License and certificates include Chief A Boiler’s license,
Power Limited Electricians license, Universal CFC Certification, is a Master Instructor with the International Union Operating Engineers, experienced in teaching Boiler Operation,
Hazmat, Indoor Air Quality, OSHA General Industry, Respiratory Protection, Disaster Site safety instructor .
Dates/ Times: This class will be held five (5) Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the following dates: July 15th, 22nd, 29th / August 5th, 12th, 2017.
Location: Classes will be held at the Local 70 office, located at: 2722 County Road D East in White Bear Lake, Minnesota 55110 (one block North of Hwy 694).
Cost: Tuition for the class is $305.00 for International Union of Operating Engineers members and $405.00 for non-members. (Cost of educational materials included in price of tuition)
How to Register: Please call the Local 70 office at (651) 646-4566 for a registration form for the class. (Please let us know if you are going for a Special License) When registering - In order to provide this training, Local 70 MUST receive payment (Check or Money Order Only) from each student or their employer prior to June 30, 2017. Registration is complete once payment is received, cancellations will not be accepted after June 30, 2017. Receipt for payment will be mailed. Class is limited to 14 people.
